This web site is dedicated to my mother and father, lillian May Lavis and William Harold Dancey.The information available is based upon the family history documents dad left us, and subsequent research.
On my father‘s side, we can trace our branch of the Dancey family back to my great great grandfather William Dancey, who lived in the Newport area of South Wales, and his wife Catherine Williams, who was originally from Llanddeusant in Carmarthenshire.
On my mother‘s side, we can trace our branch of the Lavis family back to my great great grandfather Henry Lavis, who was born in 1828 in Menheniot in Cornwall.
There is still much work to be done, but the "Genealogy" Section of this web site may already be of some interest to anyone connected to, or researching, our branch of the Dancey/Lavis family.
